About the Opportunity

Working days are spread across 2-3 days (of 8 hour shifts) between Monday – Sunday however additional work will be available as you may be required to flex up to 32 hours per week (pending work requirements). This is an important part to be successful in the role.

Our Lidcombe Distribution Centre is looking for experienced Forklift Operators who are skilled in all aspects of a WMS Warehouse. We are looking for people with previous experience in WMS systems using Voice Picking, high reach and RF technology.

Duties Include:

  • Replenishment - Utilising hi-reach forklift to move pallets from reserve storage locations to active pick faces. A manual component may be required to move crates or cartons into pick face. Bin to bin movements may also be required.
  • Crate and Inner Picking – Voice picking crates, cartons or units onto a pallet. If required, use a forklift to pick crates from the pick face onto a pallet.
  • Pallet Picking - Utilising either Hi-Reach forklift or standard forklift to pick full/part pallet orders for despatch.
  • Inbound Pallet Building - Using the forklift to transfer crates from manufacturing pickup point onto a pallet.
  • Despatch Consolidation and Pallet Wrapping - Organisational task utilising a pallet mover (if required) to pick pallets ready for loading to ensure optimal trailer utilisation and safety. Pallets will be staged in despatch lanes and may require manual movement of crates or cartons from one pallet to another. Once pallet is consolidated, it will require wrapping and securing.
  • Despatch Loading - Transferring pallets from staging lanes to racking or trailers.
  • Receiving and unloading pallets - Transferring pallets from trailers to receiving staging lanes in preparation for put away.
  • Battery Changing – Exchanging an exhausted MHE battery to replace with a fully charged battery.
  • All other duties pertaining to scope and objective of role

These vacancies are fixed on either of the following shifts:

  • Day: 6am – 2pm
  • Afternoon: 2pm – 10pm
  • Night: 10pm – 6am

 

Pay for these roles starts at above $30 per hour plus 15% loading for afternoon shift and 30% loading for night shift. Other loading applies for weekend work.
