About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Field Sales Manager – Food Service, you will be primarily accountable for achieving budgeted sales targets and development of effective sales strategies within a defined metropolitan sales territory.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing and meeting with your existing client portfolio;
  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities within your territory;
  • Infiltrating and increasing product categories and ranges within your customers;
  • Managing the relationships with the distributor network;
  • Conducting sales presentations, coordinating promotions, merchandising and product development;
  • Planning sales activities and reporting on customer performance; and
  • Providing market information and feedback to management.

You will have previous sales experience within the Food Service and/or FMCG industry, ideally with experience selling to QSR, Hotels, Restaurants/Cafes, Hospitals, Caterers and Education sectors. Previous success in managing and growing a sales territory, and strong skills in Business Development and Account Management are also required.

The successful candidate will be results driven and have demonstrated business acumen with a view to providing the best possible results for the company as well as adding value to the customers’ business. You will also need to be highly organised, self-motivated, responsible and accountable.
