About these Opportunities

New opportunities have emerged within our Distribution Operations Team to support the output flow of production. You will be required to work in a chilled environment of 0.5 - 2 degrees with duties including, but not limited to:

• Replenishment - Utilising hi-reach forklift to move pallets from reserve storage locations to active pick faces. A manual component may be required to move crates or cartons into pick face. Bin to bin movements may also be required.
• Crate and Inner Picking – Voice picking crates, cartons or units onto a pallet. If required, use a forklift to pick crates from the pick face onto a pallet.
• Pallet Picking - Utilising either Hi-Reach forklift or standard forklift to pick full/part pallet orders for despatch.
• Inbound Pallet Building - Using the forklift to transfer crates from manufacturing pickup point onto a pallet.
• Despatch Consolidation and Pallet Wrapping - Organisational task utilising a pallet mover (if required) to pick pallets ready for loading to ensure optimal trailer utilisation and safety. Pallets will be staged in despatch lanes and may require manual movement of crates or cartons from one pallet to another. Once pallet is consolidated, it will require wrapping and securing.
• Despatch Loading - Transferring pallets from staging lanes to racking or trailers.
• Receiving and unloading pallets - Transferring pallets from trailers to receiving staging lanes in preparation for put away.
• Battery Changing – Exchanging an exhausted MHE battery to replace with a fully charged battery.
• All other duties pertaining to scope and objective of role.

About You

Due to the nature of duties, we are looking for people with:

• Forklift licence;
• Previous experience in using high reach, RF technology and ideally voice picking;
• Ability to work in a 2-degree environment;
• Ability to work semi-autonomously;
• Ability to make decisions in a calm and rational manner;
• Effective prioritisation skills; and
• Experience performing labour intensive and repetitive tasks.

What you need to know

These roles are only being offered on part-time hours for a temporary period. These roles will be rostered to work weekends, attracting penalty rates (time and one half for Saturdays, and time and three quarters for Sundays).

The base hourly rates for these roles is $31.47. Additional loading is as follows:

• Day Shift: 0% (6am – 2pm)
• Afternoon Shift: 15% (2pm – 10pm)
• Night Shift: 30% (10pm – 6am)

You will also receive an hourly cold room allowance of $0.94. These roles are based at our manufacturing facility in Lidcombe.

Vacancies are on a fixed term contract until September 30, 2017, with possible extension and opportunities to become permanent. The rosters for each role are as follows:

Each position requires the ability to work additional shifts up to 32 hours each week

Day Shift Positions (6am – 2pm)

Position 1: Rostered days on include Friday and Saturday

Position 2: Rostered days on include Tuesday and Saturday

Position 3: Rostered days on include Saturday and Sunday

Afternoon Shift Position (2pm – 10pm) Attracts 15% loading on base rate

Position 4: Rostered days on include Thursday, Friday and Sunday

Position 5: Rostered days on include Thursday, Friday and Sunday

Position 6 : Rostered days on include Friday and Sunday

Position 7: Rostered days on include Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday

Night Shift Position (10pm – 6am) Attracts 30% loading on base rate

Position 8: Rostered days on include Wednesday, Friday and Saturday
