About the Opportunity

Parmalat has an exciting opportunity for someone to be part of the Customer Marketing team. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Category Manager for Fresh Dairy, located in our Melbourne office in Scoresby. You will drive and embed our category strategy to engage internal stakeholders and retail partners, in order to ultimately deliver growth across all of categories that we currently operate within. The category includes yoghurts, desserts, creams and custards.

The successful applicant needs to be able to effectively manage a cross functional team, collaborating with marketing, sales and other key functions within the business. The person needs excellent analytical and communication skills, with a strong understanding of Category Management. 

Some of the key projects within this role are:

  • Review & implement Category Growth drivers
  • Support the delivery of and embed the learnings of the U&A and desserts research
  • Renewal of segmentation for selective categories both internally and those of our customers
  • Collaboration with Marketing on planning for 2018
  • Supporting the development and tracking of NPD launches
  • Working cross functionally on range reviews with retailers
  • Presentation of category plans to retailers
  • Management of activation plans and budgets
  • Running monthly category meetings and respective reporting
  • Exploring and highlighting category trends, gaps and opportunities for Parmalat and our customers to promote ongoing sustainable growth
  • Ensuring the long term viability of the category and being the voice of the shopper internally and externally

We are looking for someone who is highly motivated and who wants to make a big difference to both Parmalat and the wider category as a whole.  The successful candidates need to be:

  • Degree qualified, with strong financial and commercial acumen
  • Demonstrated knowledge of FMCG sales and trends, Nielsen/Aztec data analysis and SAP will be highly regarded.
  • Category product knowledge and a minimum of 5+ year’s commercial experience in a customer facing Category, Senior Account or Shopper Insights management role within the FMCG sector
