About the Opportunity

Based at our Rowville site and reporting to the Southern Regional Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the Management Accounting services of the Rowville manufacturing site. 

You will be in regular contact with key factory staff which will expose you to elements of production and supply chain. You will support the site leadership team to deliver improvements to the cost and efficiency of our production operation. You will be responsible for carrying out the following tasks: 

• Completing site financial results on a monthly basis;
• Assisting site management with analysis, insights and explanation of monthly results;
• Preparing Weekly KPIs;
• Preparing budgets & forecasts (including weekly and monthly projections);
• Providing site management with financial analysis to assist in decision making across all aspects of the Site;
• Being involved in Continuous Improvement projects for the Site;
• Developing Site CAPEX and Business Case submissions;
• Providing support to the Costing team, including Loss factors, BOMs and Routings; and
• Performing ad hoc project work for the Site Managers.

We are looking for a candidate that has solid experience (ideally 4-5 years) working as a Manufacturing/Cost/Plant Accountant within the manufacturing or FMCG sector, utilising ERP systems. You will have a relevant Accounting/Commerce degree and ideally hold a CA/CPA/CIMA qualification. You will also have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to liaise with both factory staff and management.
